| Tiles |
At Glass Artists Gallery, you will find four categories of tiles:
Cast Tiles - Also referred to as Pate de Verre which is a French term for "Paste of Glass". A similar process to bronze casting.
Etched Tiles - Also called "sand-carved" or "sand-blasted" and may be produced out of crystal, or plate glass
Fused Tiles - Incredibly versatile and can be very colorful. The process of fusing involves heating enameled glasses until the enamel bonds with the surface of the object. Glasses of different compositions can be fused together, allowing the artist to create a multitude of decorative patterns.
Mosaic - "Cold Glass" using hand cut pieces of glass to form patterns and pictures.
